‘I hope he’s sure about that’ Jack’s could almost split his face, he was at a lost for words. “Oh god’s Sterling you’re perfect.” He kissed the star and caressed his face. “As long as we’re giving each other gifts, I guess it’s only fair I give you mine.” He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a ring. It was a medium sized silver ring with golden stars weaving themselves through each other in a sort of braid, leading to the center. In the center was a heart; Half of which was covered with only a few designs revealing whats inside, while the others side was completely exposed, showing a small, flickering ember, casting a sort of soft glow. He took Sterling’s hand and slipped the ring onto his middle finger. “I really haven’t prepared a little speech or anything, because you honestly caught me by surprise but.” He pulled out his other hand and held it up. On his middle finger laid the same ring, sort of. They were relatively the same, but whereas Sterling’s was silver his was golden and instead of golden stars they were silver wisps interlacing into the center, the flame was replaced with a shard of starlight. “With this ring, you’ll always have a part of me, my flame, with you. Don’t worry about getting it wet, that flame couldn’t be extinguished even if you through it in the ocean.” 

Sterling’s eyes grew wide. Jack has definitely surprised him as well! He looks at him then back at the ring again. “J-Jack.. I…”

Wanting to get a better look, he takes Jack’s gift and rushes over to his desk. He lowers his hand close to the candlestick and starts to admire the design. The ring was simply gorgeous. It wasn’t like any other ring he’s seen before. 

He trails the ring with one finger; touching the golden stars and center heart. Sterling couldn’t believe Jack gave him such a wonderful gift. This had.. really warmed the star’s heart.

“O-Oh Jack..! Oh..!” He cries while letting out a blissful laughter, and hovers in mid-air. What happened next.. Well you could have guessed. He plunges towards Jack with his arms wrapping around his head, causing the spirit to fall backwards onto the floor with Sterling ontop of him. 

He fell back with a thump “Shit…” He said in between laughs as he hugged Sterling nice and tight, kissing the others cheek. “I assume you like it?” Jack’s face was alight with happiness at the stars reaction.

Jack rolled his eyes and smiled at the others offer. “Sure, actually the reason I’m even here Is because I heard you were in town. Wanted to catch with my favorite brother— er sister in arms?
